Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

A native to Europe, Yarrow has a long documented historical use as a "wound healer" and to stanch bleeding. Yarrow contains both achilleine and its flavonoids which is what helps stop bleeding. It is also called nosebleed for this reason. Laboratory studies indicate that Yarrow also dilates blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Yarrow has been shown to help regulate the menstrual cycle, reduces heavy menstrual bleeding and ease period pain. Its bitter tonic properties make it useful for weak digestion and colic. Yarrow also helps relieve cold and flu symptoms, and aids circulation.

We sell it as a tincture and as a salve that can be applied topically. It is also available for U-Pick!
