"Can you imagine going to every kind of ologist that there is with no one helping and passing you on to the next one? I would get sores in my mouth that look like canker sores and would grow and last for months. One day, after having a sore throat for a while, I went to the doctor. I had to have a scope put down my throat and a biopsy. They found out that it wasn't a sore throat, but was sores that had traveled down my throat. The Doctor called them ulcers. I took all the treatments and meds. Even steroids which didn't even help. I went to a lecture at the Buchanan Senior Center on Yarrow. Leslie from Hudon Herb Farm was there. The speaker mentioned that Yarrow was good for ulcers. A light bulb went off in my head; that's what the doctor called my sores. I found out I couldn't take Yarrow because of the meds I was on. "Goldendoodles tend to have allergy issues. Our Zani is no exception. During allergy season, he develops skin issues and will develop red irritating spots. One vet told us to never put any cream on it and instead, pay for a very expensive medication. At a later time, we saw another vet and asked if it was safe to try Comfrey Salve on the irritation. The vet said yes. He said to just be near the dog for about an hour after to make sure he doesn't lick it off to give time for the salve to penetrate.
