~ Eucalyptus globulus (Myrtaceae)
The earliest use of this herb was by the Aboriginals for infections and fever. Now, Eucalyptus is a common ingredient found in many over the counter cold remedies, as it is an incredibly powerful antiseptic and used over the globe for its ability to relieve coughs and colds, sore throats and other infections. Extensive research into Eucalyptus during the last 50 years has shown it to have a marked antiseptic action and its ability to dilate the bronchioles (small airways) of the lungs. When Eucalyptus is diluted in tea, or applied to the chest, it has a warming effect, helping to relieve respiratory infections. It is also said to help with rheumatic joints when applied topically. Our Eucalyptus plants are doing very well! We hope they will be ready to harvest this July!

Unlike our other tinctures, this tincture must ALWAYS be diluted before use. As always consult with your healthcare provider before using any of our tinctures.
