Black Walnut (Juglans nigra)

We are excited to introduce these new Black Walnut products!

Over the past few months, there's been a surge of customers who have asked us if we have Black Walnut. One Sunday this past September, we were speaking with the Shembarger family at church, when Mr. David Shembarger casually mentioned that he has 500 black walnut trees. We were quick to mention that our customers have been asking for Black Walnut recently and asked if he could be our supplier, to which he said yes!

We want to thank Mr. Shembarger and his family for being our suppliers.

Look out for more Black Walnut products in the future!

Black walnut hulls are packed with bioactive compounds that contribute to their wide range of health benefits.

Some of the most notable benefits include:

Anti-Parasitic Properties: One of the most well-known uses of black walnut hulls is their ability to expel parasites from the body. The hulls contain juglone, a powerful compound that is toxic to parasites but safe for humans when used properly. This makes black walnut hulls a popular choice in natural remedies for intestinal worms and other parasitic infections.

Antimicrobial and Antifungal Effects: Black walnut hulls have strong antimicrobial properties, making them effective against various bacterial and fungal infections. They are often used in herbal remedies for conditions like athlete’s foot, ringworm, and candida overgrowth.

Skin Health: The astringent properties of black walnut hulls make them beneficial for skin health. They can be used to remedy acne, eczema, warts, cold sores and fungal infections. The hulls help to dry out and heal skin lesions while reducing inflammation.

Digestive Health: Black walnut hulls are also known for their ability to support digestive health. They can help alleviate constipation and support regular bowel movements, partly due to their mild laxative effect.

Black Walnut is the most potent tincture/glycerite we sell. With that, please use appropriately, taking drops at a time, not dropperfulls! (We provide information on dosage with purchase) Black Walnut tincture/glycerites should never be used everyday nor long-term.
